# Swap

In **FinChain DEX - Swap**, you can select the token to pay and the token to receive, view the estimated amount to receive, estimated network fee, and trade settings, then initiate the swap via your digital wallet. Supported tokens, blockchain networks, and swap pairs are subject to the options available on the Swap page at the time.

### **1. Price Chart**

Click the chart button to the right of **Swap** to view the price chart in a pop-up and see the token’s price trend.

{% hint style="info" %}
Chart data is for reference only. The actual execution price is subject to the transaction result.
{% endhint %}

### **2. Swap Flow**

#### **2.1 Select the token to pay and the token to receive**

Click the token name in the **Pay** or **Receive** section to open **Select Token**. You can enter the token name in the search bar and filter by **All**, **General Tokens**, or **RWA Tokens**. The selection panel also provides a network filter and displays your holdings and their reference value under **Your Tokens**. When selecting a token, please verify the name, token symbol, and network. RWA Tokens may also display the product name and issuer information. Tokens with the same name on different networks may represent different assets, so do not rely on the name alone. If the asset you want to use is not listed, you can click **Request to Add** and submit your request according to the on-screen instructions. Submitting a request does not mean the asset is supported for trading.

#### **2.2 Enter the swap amount**

Enter the amount of the token to pay in the **Pay** section and view the estimated amount to receive in the **Receive** section. After connecting your wallet, the **Pay** section will show your available balance. You can click **Max** to fill in the available amount provided on the page. Before submitting, please double-check the estimated network fee and the balance of the asset in your wallet used to pay network fees. If the pay amount exceeds your available balance, the page will highlight the relevant value, and the action button will show **Insufficient Balance**. Please reduce the pay amount, or make sure the connected wallet and network are correct. The amount in the **Receive** section is an estimate at the time of quote and may update with market prices and pool liquidity.

#### **2.3 Review trade settings**

Before submitting, please review the following parameters:

| Parameter          | Description                                                                                                                                 |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Swap Deadline | The validity period for this swap request. It does not guarantee the time by which the transaction will be completed. |
| Slippage Tolerance | The maximum adverse price deviation from the quote that you are willing to accept during execution. |
| Est. Network Fee | The estimated cost required to complete the on-chain operation. The actual amount is subject to your wallet and on-chain execution results. |

You can adjust the swap deadline using the options provided on the page, and use the **Recommended** or custom slippage tolerance allowed by the page. After reselecting tokens, changing the amount, or waiting for a longer period, please reconfirm the quote and estimated network fee.

A higher slippage tolerance means you are willing to accept a larger adverse execution deviation. It is not an extra fee, nor does it mean a loss of the same proportion will necessarily occur. If set too low, the transaction may fail to execute because price movements exceed the allowed range.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the page shows **High Slippage** or **Very High Slippage**, please read the notice and reassess your settings. A higher slippage tolerance may lead to unfavorable execution or front-running risk.
{% endhint %}

#### **2.4 Initiate Swap**

After confirming the pay amount, estimated receive amount, network, deadline, slippage tolerance, and estimated network fee, click **Swap Now**. If your wallet is not yet connected, follow the on-screen prompt to connect it first. The page will show a transaction-in-progress notice and send a request to your connected wallet. You may need to confirm multiple times in your wallet. Follow the steps below. Wallet interfaces and button names may vary. The terms **Approve**, **Sign**, and **Confirm** below are common names; please refer to what your wallet actually displays.

**2.4.1 Open your wallet and review the request**

If you are using a browser wallet extension, check the wallet pop-up. If it does not appear automatically, click the wallet icon in your browser toolbar, unlock it, and check for pending requests. If you are using a mobile wallet, switch to the connected wallet app as prompted. Confirm that the request comes from the FinChain page you are using, and verify the wallet account and blockchain network. If your wallet prompts you to switch networks, make sure it matches the network selected for this swap before proceeding.

**2.4.2 Confirm spending cap approval (if required)**

If this transaction requires token approval, the FinChain page will prompt a **Spending Cap Request**, and your wallet may show **Spending Cap**, **Token Approval**, or a similar request. This step allows a specified contract to use your payment token within the approved limit. Please verify the token, the spender, and the spending cap. The spender is usually the contract processing this transaction, not necessarily the token contract address. If you cannot confirm its purpose, return to the swap page to verify. If your wallet allows you to edit the spending cap, you can set it to the amount needed for this transaction and ensure it is sufficient for this swap. A larger cap may allow the contract to continue using the token in future transactions; please make sure you accept this approval scope. After verifying, follow your wallet’s prompts to click **Next**, **Approve**, or **Confirm**. If it is an on-chain approval transaction, your wallet will show the corresponding network fee; confirm it and wait for processing. If a signature request appears, read the approval details before signing. If sufficient valid approval already exists, this step may not appear again.

**2.4.3 Confirm the swap transaction**

After approval is complete, return to the FinChain page to check progress, and watch for the next **Transaction Request** in your wallet. Approval does not mean the swap has been submitted. Please continue to complete this transaction confirmation. In your wallet, verify the paying account, network, interacting contract, visible asset changes, and network fee, and compare them with the pay amount and estimated receive amount on the Swap page. If your wallet does not show the full swap details, please also refer to the Swap page. If the information does not match, reject the request first and recheck. Once confirmed, click **Confirm** or **Sign** in your wallet, and complete password, biometric, or hardware wallet confirmation as required by your wallet. If it shows insufficient balance for network fees, top up the required fee asset for the network first, then continue as prompted on the page.

**2.4.4 Return to the page to view submission results**

After completing wallet confirmation, return to the FinChain page and wait for the result. If it shows the transaction request has been **Broadcast**, you can click **View Details** to track on-chain processing progress and verify the actual received amount after successful execution. If you reject a request in your wallet, this step cannot continue. Please first check the swap page and wallet records to see if any approval or transaction has been submitted successfully, then decide whether to initiate again. Rejecting a subsequent transaction does not automatically revoke previously completed approvals. Please keep the FinChain page open during the process. Switch to your wallet, complete the operation, and then return. Closing the page may interrupt an incomplete interaction, but it does not cancel an already broadcast on-chain transaction.

#### **2.5 View transaction results**

After submission, if the page shows **Your transaction request has been broadcast**, it means the transaction has been sent to the blockchain network, and the smart contract still needs to process it. You can click **View Details** to continue tracking. Broadcast does not mean the swap is complete. Please confirm the final execution result and actual received amount, then check your wallet balance. Completion time depends on the selected network and transaction processing conditions. When using on mobile, you can access Swap through the page menu and follow the same steps. After switching to the wallet app and completing confirmation, return to the FinChain page to check progress.
